This Commission will provide recommendations to the City Council on a variety of areas, including:

Provide guidance and direction to the programs offered at the Senior Center. To include: events, programs, activities, trips, and meal site planning. Advise on contract agreements for the Senior Center.
Annual review of the mission and goals for the Senior Center
Identify issues related to senior citizens in the community by working with residents, service providers, and staff.
Review plans for parks and open spaces as they are developed to ensure our spaces are developed with senior citizens' needs and accessibility in mind.
Sit in on interviews for Senior Center staffing or volunteer positions
Reviewing the Code of Conduct and senior center participation policies
Advocate for health access needs for Seniors (such as flu and vaccine clinic needs. Share formally with TPCHD, site on community committees, possibly.
Advocate and advise on affordable housing needs for seniors
Promote the Senior Center and other adult activities in the community.
Help voice local concerns of Senior Citizens at the county and state levels.
Collaborate on grant and funding requests to grow and improve Senior services and programs.
