NEW: Small Business Flex Fund Loan Program
Small business owners and nonprofits across Washington can apply for low interest loans of up to $150,000 through the newly-launched Small Business Flex Fund. The Fund is a public-private partnership aimed at helping small businesses and nonprofits – particularly those in low-income communities – recover and grow as communities across the state reopen for business. Interested applicants pre-apply on the Flex Fund’s online portal and, if they qualify, will be matched with a lender.

Rental and Utility Assistance in 2021 – Pierce County Human Services
On March 13, 2020, Mayor Johnson signed a Proclamation of Emergency for the City of Buckley. The declaration of a state of emergency gives the City greater flexibility to take appropriate actions necessary to combat the emergency for the protection of persons and properties, and to provide appropriate emergency assistance to persons affected.
In an effort to take proactive measures to protect the health and safety of the community and staff, the City is implementing safety protocols and modifying our services.
City Parks:
Parks are open including Youth Center, Skate Park, playgrounds, climbing boulders and basketball court. All users should continue to adhere to social distancing rules as outlined by the Governor.

What We All Can Do:
The Tacoma Pierce County Health Department shares these steps to protect yourself and your family from COVID-19: to help protect yourself:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
- Throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.
- Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces.
- Stay at home and away from others if you are sick.
