Duties & Responsibilities

The Community Services Committee considers any matter of a non-quasi-judicial nature from the Planning Commission, City Departments, or other group, agency, or organization and shall consider matters related to the surrounding rural area’s community growth and development, including but not limited to: 

• Municipal Court 
• The Physical, Economic, Aesthetic, & Social Development of the City; Comprehensive Plan; Zoning Code; Housing; Annexation Policies; & Code Enforcement in coordination with the Building & Planning Departments
• Planning and Implementing Park And Recreational Facilities, Programs And Activities
• Parks & Recreation Facility Maintenance
• Senior Center Operation & Maintenance
• Youth Center Operation & Maintenance
• City Sponsored Events
