VisitationPlease call the Jail at 360.829.3157 to confirm that the inmate is still in our facility prior to your arrival. The Buckley City Jail allows for visitation only of persons under sentence of a court. Please be advised that our visitation space is limited and operated on a first come, first served basis. Visits are limited to 45 minutes [er week and you may have an extended wait time so plan accordingly. · Visitation is conducted on Sundays from 10 am to 10 pm unless unusual circumstances arise. · Visitors must be at least 18 years of age and present valid identification. · Confidential visits from attorneys, legal assistants, clergy and tax professionals are allowed to the extent possible within facility limitations and must be arranged prior to arrival to the jail. · Visitors are subject to search by jail staff. Any person may refuse a search but, subsequent to such refusal, may be denied entrance. Other reasons for denying entrance to visitors shall include but not be limited to: 1. An attempt, or reasonable suspicion of an attempt, to bring contraband into the facility. 2. Obvious influence or effect of alcohol or controlled substances. 3. Request from the prisoner's physician. 4. Request from the prisoner. 5. No identification. 6. Reasonable ground to believe a particular visit would present a substantial danger to jail security or management or the welfare of prisoners, staff, or other visitors. Approved items for inmates CLOTHING: Inmates are provided jail jumpsuits at the time of booking. Visitors may bring in a reasonable number of undergarments for an inmate if needed. Inmates have access to a laundry to clean their clothing so please consider this if you intend on bringing these items in. Slippers, sandals or thongs are permitted if these items cannot be supplied by the jail. Footwear with laces or straps are prohibited. If you are aware that the inmate you are visiting is assigned to outside work details and is in need of outerwear (hat, coat, boots) please call the jail before you bring anything in for the inmate. BEDDING: All inmates are provided with bedding materials so no blankets, sheets, pillows or pillow cases are allowed. PERSONAL HYGIENE ITEMS: Inmates are provided with a limited number of hygiene items at booking. These items are replaced by staff at the inmates request. These consist of: · Toothpaste · Toothbrush · Soap · Comb · Razor (Not issued at booking. By request only & must return immediately after use) Additional hygiene items may be purchased by the inmate through commissary orders. PERSONAL ITEMS: A maximum of 2 paperback books or 2 magazines may be brought in for the inmate. These must be traded out or disposed of prior to a visitor bringing in additional reading material. Adult books and magazines are not allowed nor any literature that may contain information deemed a risk to staff or the facility. Board games or playing cards are acceptable with prior staff approval. No electronic devices are allowed without prior approval of the Sergeant. MEDICATIONS: All medications must be in the original prescription container or packaging. Over the counter (OTC) medication may be purchased by the inmate through commissary order. All medication is secured by staff and dispensed as prescribed by the inmates physician or container instructions. INMATE FUNDS: Visitors may deposit funds into an inmate's commissary account. All deposits must be in cash. You will be issued a receipt for the deposit. MAIL: Writing material, envelopes and postage are provided for a maximum of 3 letters per week. Visitor's may supply an inmate with additional writing material and postage stamps or the inmate may purchase through commissary order. NO FOODSTUFFS ARE ACCEPTED BY THE JAIL
