Government: Employment City Planner Position CITY PLANNER, (CITY OF BUCKLEY) JOB # 06-04 (2007) $4,012 - $4,700/MO., + excellent benefits! This is a highly responsible F/T, FLSA exempt position in the Planning/Building Department. Min. quals: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Planning, Geography, or related field; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, ability and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position. Position is responsible for performing highly skilled professional planning & development work for both current and long range planning tasks related to the development and implementation of land use, economic and other related municipal plans and development policies. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills, demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately under demanding workload and deadline conditions, and be fully versed in a municipal service setting. Administrative work experience in a complex, multi-department organization desired with demonstrated experience/knowledge using current computer-based software systems.
